Avin AVANT 4
The Avin AVANT 4 is my go-to headunit. It’s fantastic. CarPlay, BMW App, it’s probably the best android headunit on the market. It’s not the cheapest, but It’s worth it.
BlueBus
BlueBus is the solution for connecting your phone to your car WITHOUT replacing the OEM navigation system or screen.
Carplay Dongle
If you have an Android headunit, this dongle is great for adding wireless CarPlay/Android Auto. I’ve been using it for years with my Avin AVANT.
I-BUS APP
If you have an android headunit, the I-BUS app is a fantastic addition. Check codes, control car functions, and use the DSP amp all from your headunit!
Interior Accessories
LED Interior Bulbs
While many people prefer the yellow halogen glow, I love modern, bright white LED interior lights. My car had some cheap ones installed that were blue. 😬
ZHP Shift Knob
The Weighted ZHP Shift Knob is the first upgrade I do on all my manual BMWs. It’s BMWs best knob produced 🙌 I’ve looked everywhere and the best price is on Amazon.
Silver Gauge Rings
Simple, silver gauge rings. Huge upgrade for Non-M clusters. The gauge rings add a great visual pop—especially when paired with orange needles 😍
Dash Cupholders
The E39 Cupholders are… Interesting. They don’t do a very good job of holding cups. These aren’t perfect, but definitely a cheap improvement.
Storage Cupholder
If you’re looking for a better cupholder position—one that doesn’t block the climate control buttons—this is it!
Lighting
LED Halo Lights
The standard halos are tubes with a bulb at the end. Not efficient or bright. I replaced my halos with these LED “cotton style” rings.
LED Turn Signal Bulbs
Bright LED turn signal bulbs. You’re rebuilding your headlights, might as well get better bulbs! I’ve been running these for years. Very Happy.
Euro Clear Lenses
The USA spec cars have amber turn lenses and typically are pretty beat after 20-ish years of driving. A new set of lenses makes your headlights brighter and look brand new!
Exterior
M5 Front Bumper
These days, A genuine bumper is $900 🤯 I purchased this bumper for $259.88 on eBay and put it on my 540 wagon. Fitment was good for over half off the OEM Price!
M5 Mirrors
M5 Mirrors. I love ‘em, but OEM are crazy expensive. These aftermarket ones were on the wagon and worked perfectly.
Black Kidney Grilles
The chrome grilles are classic, but I’m a sucker for the all-black grille. This one is a great budget option.
Cleaning

Grit Guard Kit
Love ‘em or hate ‘em, Chemical Guys makes some great kits. This starter kit has a wash mit, grit guard, bucket, and some soap—all to help cut down on swirls and scratches!

I’ve had this pressure washer for 7 years! It’s been amazing for washing the car and using around the house.
Foam Cannon
Game changer for washing the car. The suds and foam are incredible!
Diagnostic
BMW Scanner
Absolutely my go to scanner for the E39. This scanner comes with PAsoft 1.4 diagnostic software which is fantastic for figuring out issues/codes.
INPA
This is basically the BMW software for troubleshooting and coding your car. It’s difficult to setup and there is a learning curve to use it, but the software is incredibly powerful.
